The artwork of Craftsman

some people are just born with an eye that sees things differently than the rest of us, if it's one thing I can say about Zeke ,it's that he's always been able to look at a house and drop blueprints in his head.

A redesigned way to live to open up all the areas and leave a home that definitely is a unique and beautiful layout. since I've known him, he's always been able to just describe what he's seeing in his head and there's a lot of times I want to see it, but I don't think in pictures like he does, and I'm not mechanically inclined. usually he has to start doing the work for me to really start seeing what he was explaining to me.But, it's obvious from the speed and the know-how that he has under his belt when it comes to home remodeling that he sees the image like it was there right in front of him.

As things unfold, and he begins to work there's nothing like watching a literal magic formation a home that might have seemed like it is an utter loss ,a throwback in time along with having several structural or other issues that almost seem like you could never tackle them especially for the novice or someone who knows nothing at all about building ,but Zeke has always been able to look at it and see it like a puzzle piece that he needs to fit in somewhere else.

Never once skimping on quality and never once taking a shortcut he can work from the inside out and completely redesign and rebuild an entire home before you know it. The one thing about his work is it is quality beyond quality. You're getting custom work that most of us unless we're movie stars would certainly never be able to afford you are clearly not getting a typical construction workers remodel you will not be getting a cookie cutter version of your neighbor's house. The other thing is even though he knows all the technical jargon and all the measurements and all the pieces and all the tools it is like he's holding a paintbrush and by the time he steps away there's a masterpiece in front of him.

I'm going to show you a finished item and his newly redesigned kitchen this will be the centerpiece obviously of almost the entire home. When you think about it this is a piece of stunning beauty as he was planning it which just came as a whim, I could kind of see it as he finished each piece of wood and tried not to self edit,as his perfectionist self wanted to make sure that things were in a pattern but yet he wanted it to look like he wasn't trying that hard and this time I must be proud enough to say I didn't see Zeke edit himself .I saw him working from the vision in his head with a soft hand and a steady idea and boy, how this turned out in the end, even though I knew it would be even more than perfect, was absolutely breathtaking. I can say for once that I literally was without words , speechless and awestruck ,I was moved like any piece if beautiful art that speaks to me has moved me and had tears in my eyes as these pictures came in on my phone.I pray that he finds his calling but I do know that any builder or any investor would be absolutely remiss to not grab him up and let him do what he knows how to do best.but if not, I pray that whatever happens to whatever needs to happen a windfall becomes available to him so he can start his own business, for there is absolutely nothing that I can think of that would be more tragic than the magic and the art that lives within him, not being seen by the entire world.

Now this island in this kitchen is something to behold.

A 2 by 8 costs WHAT?

And other ghost stories from middle America  At the sane time we saw house prices leap into the sellers plus arena during this pandemic we also saw lumbar shoot skyhigh and make building furniture and other things outrageous.  So comes the new era of DIY lumberjacks and the sawmill. Amazingly we are seeing the rebirth of blood sweat and tear work. but before it was all the rage and sawmills had waiting list. Zeke was dreaming of having his own sawmill and building his own shop and home.  Mike festiva     NPR the new lumberjacks       The right cut-Milling lumber   Have any if you explored milling your own wood or drying it in a kiln. what about over state lines and other travel  this is a dream I stand and honor. soon I'll be starting a web donation drive and looking for an angel 8nvestor or two. I'll be convincing you that Zeke is the best man for the job and will knock your socks off but he could use a tad bit of help....

put some springing in your spring. Let's get a restart.

This just in! It's that time again! Time to prepare for warmer weather and days at the lake and night by the grill chasing lightening bugs!  But before all that wonderful summer sunshine and good times let's get down to business. Winter was long and cold, wet and dirty. Sand and road salt, dirt and mud everywhere.  It's time to do some airing out and cleaning up and checking our homes for seasonal change.  Call your HVAC guy and have a routine cleaning and check on your system make sure you've changed out any filters and vacuumed out all your vents and cold air returns.  Check your windows and screens, patch or replace any tears in your screen before all the wonderful warm weather bugs start creepy crawling around and become guests inside your home. Turn on your outside water connection and check for drops and fix accordingly. It's also spring rain season and it's time to check for leaky roofs and clean those gutters.  Some of your foundation diet might li...

And so it goes

As luck would have it Zeke was away for a couple months taking care of business and a bunch of hooligans to put it mildly and without the anger I truly feel took it upon themselves to rob and destroy the home he was renting to own. So while he regroups and we get the police report ready and file charges in those we know had the most to do with it all please stand by us while we take care of this part of the book.  It never ceases to amaze me one thing about this area so different from others I've beg  lucky enough to explore and live in is the massive disrespect across the board from the streets to the corporate paid people.tbey are all so wishy washy in the fence and fair weathered.they stab anyone  in the back, especially those who have put food on their table they expect forgiveness too much and earn no honor it respect. It's sad. . An example is the several Zeke has taken in to live rent-free and help him do things to get pocket change  and most took every ...
